Downer Soul Beats is a compilation of hip hop instrumental tracks with intention to have someone rap on them. These are "half way songs" meaning that their are no lyrics (yet) but are laid out and ready for recording. The complex nature and undertones within the beats I was trying to hit on will hopefully bring out more complex/in depth topics for those writing. Sampling is an art that has been around for 30 Plus years and Noah Boa' continues into the legacy of grey areas and shadows that it creates.

KenSon and Noah Boa, better known as BTTM NTCH (Bottom Notch), are a hip-hop duo out of Berkeley, CA. The self taught musicians have been making music since meeting in 2009 and have been hosting rap shows. They are consistent, maybe even persistent, artists having recorded more than 1,000 songs together as a group.
